  • Haydn Myer Award
    Awarded in honor of Haydn Myer. This award is presented at the discretion of the Trustees for distinguished service to the Civil War Philatelic Society during the previous twelve months. This award may not be presented to a member that is currently holding office as a Trustee. Until the 2005 By-Law change, Generals were also restricted from receiving this award.
  • August Dietz Award
    Awarded in honor of August Dietz. The award is presented at the discretion of the Trustees for distinguished research and writing in the field of Civil War philately. From 1962 through 1978 the award was presented for articles printed in the Confederate Philatelist. After 1978 the criteria were modified to include any article or publication in the field of Confederate Philately.
  • The Civil War Philatelist Writers Award
    This award is presented at the discretion of the Trustees to the author of the best article appearing in The Civil War Philatelist since the last annual meeting of the Civil War Philatelic Society. The last ten articles can be viewed by clicking on the year.
  • Special Trustees’ Award for Sustained and Superior Service
    Awarded for superior service to the Society over a period greater than one year.
  • Special Trustees’ Award for Superior Service
    Awarded for superior service to the Society in the past year.
  • Bruce W. Ball Exemplary Service Award (Retired)
    This award was given for exemplary service to the Society.
