The 2025 CWPS Annual Convention will be held in suburban Cleveland, Ohio, in conjunction with the Garfield-Perry Stamp Show.

We invite you to join us for this premier World Series of Philately stamp show and, hopefully, put together an exhibit to showcase some of the favorite items in your collection.

Show location:

• Best Western Plus: 15471 Royalton Road, Strongsville, OH, 44136. All social events will take place at that venue. (Show Details)
• For hotel reservations, telephone 440-238-8800. (Show rate is $114 per night prior to Feb. 22, 2025)
• Show Hours: Friday-Saturday 10 AM to 6 PM, Sunday 10 AM to 3 PM. (Admission and Parking are free)

Exhibits: The application for Competitive Exhibits is now available and can be found here. Entry forms must be mailed along with a Title Page and Synopsis by January 15, 2025.

The Society has arranged a special offer for First-Time Exhibitors. You will be able to participate in a “Non-Competitive Exhibit” category which means you will not be tied to exhibiting rules and your Exhibit will not be judged.  Interested members are asked to send an email to secretary@civilwarphilatelicsociety.org stating their interest and posing any questions they may have. We would like to receive this email by Nov 15th.  Please see this Link for additional details and take advantage of this unique opportunity to share your material on a significant stage without the typical stress of Exhibiting.

Society Dinner:  Friday, March 14.  at the Rosewood Grill (3 minutes away), Reservation forms and details to be provided as soon as they are received from the Restaurant.

Annual Meeting:  The General Membership Meeting will be held on Saturday, March 15, at 9 AM at the show hotel

Presentations: 

Saturday March 15, 10 AM:  Trish Kaufmann will present “The Springfield Facsimiles of Confederate Postage Stamps plus a brief TASCO History.” This will mark the first time that this new presentation will be made available to the public.

Saturday, March 15, (Time TBA):  Society members will have a chance to show off their most prized possession in a presentation called “My Favorite Cover.”  This will be an opportunity for members to display and describe their favorite Civil War cover. A scan of the actual cover will be shown onscreen for the member to talk about.

Interested members are asked to send a 300 dpi scan of their favorite cover to secretary@civilwarphilatelicsociety.org by January 15th, 2025. However, members are encouraged to send in their cover scans even sooner so the committee can gauge interest in this event and plan accordingly. Please consider sharing one of your treasures (onscreen) with the group.
