The above book was written by Charles W. Deaton (a 69-year Society member), and was initially published in 2012. The book covers a wide range of Texas postal history topics and includes a complete census of the Texas Confederate Postmasters’ Provisionals. In December 2024, the University of Texas Press decided to republish the book in paperback due to its wide popularity among philatelists and Texas history enthusiasts. The book has been augmented to include information that was not available at the time of the initial publication.
